Job Description:

POSITION:   Pub Employee

REQUIRED TRAININGS:

  • Current Food Handler’s Card (or obtained within 2 weeks of hire date)

  • Current MAST card (or obtained within 1 week of hire date)

CLASSIFICATION:     Hourly/Seasonal

COMPENSATION: Minimum wage + tips (all tips split evenly among staff that day)         

JOB SUMMARY:    At the pub, we work together as a team. This means traditional roles of “cashier, dishwasher, kitchen” are blended into one role where you rotate throughout the work day and coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to give the best possible service to our guests. You will be trained to be proficient in all areas of the pub: from ringing up sales, to pouring the perfect pint of beer, to preparing a bite of something delicious for people to snack on, to following cleanliness guidelines.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service skills must be demonstrated at all times when dealing with customers.

  • Navigate POS system. Attention to detail and accuracy when placing orders is key. Communicate special orders to team.

  • Checks ID’s according to MAST guidelines.

  • Observe customers for signs of intoxication, does not over serve.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of Pub; wiping counters, picking up trash, tidying kid’s table, games, etc…

  • Effectively manage tasks and overall time management in an effort to be prepared for challenges that may occur.

  • Consistently demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Pour beverages at bar as needed

  • Handle customer orders as needed.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Age 21 and older.

  • 1 year of consistent employment in related environment.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • Knowledgeable about beer is helpful.
